Using a Mac

1. 
   Open your file using the Preview application.

   1. This can be found in the Applications folder.
2. 
   Click on the File menu and select Save as...
3. 
   Click on the pop-down menu for Format.
4. 
   Select JPEG or PNG.

   1. For most images, JPEG is a good choice.
   2. If you select JPEG, you will then see a slider to select image quality. There is usually no need to change this setting.
5. 
   Type in a new name for the file.

   1. Be sure to save the new version of the image in the directory of your choice.
