American company reinvents the car wheel, eliminating rubber tires to protect the environment and save costs.
Global Air Cylinder Wheels (GACW), an American startup, has developed a new type of wheel that eliminates the need for polluting conventional rubber tires.
The new Air Suspension Wheel (ASW) was invented by dynamics engineer, Dr. Zoltan Kemeny.
ASW is a patented mechanical wheel. This new wheel is constructed primarily of steel with a pneumatic suspension system within the wheel via cylinders, resulting in 60% cost savings and environmental friendliness. ASW has a lifespan equal to that of the vehicle it serves. With ASW, tire overheating and bursting are a thing of the past. After completing its task, it can be fully restored or recycled.
Another key benefit of ASW is the significant reduction in Rolling Resistance, which makes combustion more efficient and reduces emissions. This will help electric cars, like Tesla, extend their driving range by up to 30% on the same type of battery.
In addition, ASW wheels are also more difficult for vandals to damage.
GACW claims its pneumatic suspension wheels are up to 60% more cost-effective, safer, better for the environment, and a viable and efficient alternative to rubber tires.
ASW technology can be applied to all types of vehicles currently using traditional rubber tires globally. This new tire is expected to be fully commercialized by 2023.
