Microsoft announced new features for OneDrive

Microsoft recently announced that it will release many updated features for the OneDrive cloud storage service, targeting both business and personal users.

First, Microsoft said it will enhance the scanning experience on the mobile OneDrive application so users can quickly open this feature, the find button will be placed right on the tab bar.

In addition, Microsoft also supports the ability to upload from camera to OneDrive for Business after only available on individual OneDrive. With that feature, users can let the device automatically upload photos from Camera Roll to OneDrive and Microsoft said this feature will be available on both Android and iOS.

Another useful feature is using a password to protect the file. This means that after creating a link to share the file, anyone who wants to view it must have a password. This feature will be available on the interface when sharing files with the new settings section so as not to let viewers (without the right to edit the text) download the data.

New features with business accounts

For businesses, one of the remarkable features is the ability to transfer folders on the PC, like Documents or Pictures to OneDrive. Microsoft also said it would take external sharing reports to OneDrive.

'Administrators can view all shared files on the site, including anonymous or shared external links that are secure. Reports can be exported to Excel or Power BII to filter, analyze the level and sharing behavior of users. Reports can be entered into third party security and management software.

According to Microsoft, the features will be released in the next few months.
