Microsoft's OneDrive for Business has an error that automatically reduces the storage limit
This caused some customers to delete files to free up space for their projects.
OneDrive for Business is a cloud-based file storage and sharing service for business customers. It allows users to access, share, and collaborate on files on personal or shared work files across Microsoft 365.
Microsoft says more than 85% of Fortune 500 businesses now use the OneDrive for Business file storage and sharing platform.
According to Microsoft, there was an issue that caused the user's license to be unrecognized. As a result, the storage limit is reverted to the default of 1TB. Some user accounts are even made read-only, preventing them from making changes to their files.
"For content that exceeds the 1TB memory quota, users can only view it in read mode," Microsoft explains.
According to Microsoft, enterprise IT administrators can also temporarily resolve the issue by setting individual quotas for all affected users. Meanwhile, Microsoft is currently actively investigating the cause to find a way to fix this problem soon.
Recently, Microsoft also announced that it will increase the price of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 services. This is the first price increase after a decade of appearance and growth of Office 365.
