Instructions on how to log out of your Microsoft account in Windows 11.
To sign out of a Microsoft account on Windows 11, you need to transfer your user profile to a local account. This keeps your user profile and all your files on your computer, but disconnects that specific profile from Microsoft's cloud services. Here's how to sign out of a Microsoft account on Windows 11.
How to sign out of your Microsoft account in Windows 11
Step 1:
Open Settings on Windows, then click on Accounts on the left side of the interface.
Next, we select the "Your info" option on the side interface.
Step 2:
On the new interface, select the option "Sign in with a local account instead" . Windows will then prompt you to enter your Microsoft account password or PIN to log in.
Step 3:
A new interface will appear asking you to enter your username , password , and password hint for your new local account.
After filling in your local account information, click Next and then select Sign out and finish . Your computer will prompt you to restart. After restarting, you can log in using your new local account credentials instead of your Microsoft account.
