How to Block Calls from Unknown Numbers on iPhone
Use Do Not Disturb mode
Open the iPhone's Settings section. It's a gray app with gears on the home screen.
Click Do Not Disturb ( Do Not Disturb ). This item is near the top of the menu, next to a purple icon with a moon inside.
Click Allow Calls From . This item is in the middle of the screen.
Click All Contacts ( All contacts ). This item is in the "Groups" section of the menu. Now, when "Do Not Disturb" is enabled, only phone numbers in your contacts can reach you.
Swipe up from the home screen or lock screen and tap the crescent moon icon at the top of Control Center to turn Do Not Disturb on or off .
Block unknown calls
Open the Phone app. This is the green app located in the lower left corner of the iPhone's home screen. It has an icon shaped like a phone.
Click Contacts ( Contacts ). This option is located at the bottom center of the screen and resembles a silhouette of a person.
Press + . This item is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Enter "Unknown" in the first and last name fields.
Click Save ( Save ). It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click Block this Caller ( Block this caller ). This item is at the bottom of the screen.
Click Block Contact ( Block contact ). Now, most calls labeled as "Unknown" will be blocked from your iPhone.
Anyone who calls you from an unknown number will not be able to contact you.
Block calls from unknown numbers
Open the Phone app. This is the green app located in the lower left corner of the iPhone's home screen. It has an icon of a phone.
Click Recents ( Recent ). It's a clock icon located in the lower left corner of the screen.
Click ⓘ next to the unfamiliar phone number. It's the blue icon on the right side of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Block this Caller . This item is at the bottom of the menu.
Click Block Contact ( Block contact ). From now on, this number will not be able to make calls to your iPhone.
