The My Computer icon is hidden on the Windows 7 desktop

In case you cannot find the computer icon on the desktop, do not worry too much. The following article details how to hide the My Computer icon on the Windows 7 desktop.

Option 1: Go to Start -> Right-click My Computer -> Show on desktop .

In case you want to hide the My Computer icon you uncheck the Show on desktop :

Step 1: Right-click on the screen and select Personalize .

Step 2: A dialog box appears and click Change desktop icons .

Step 3: In the Desktop Icon Settings tab, select Computer -> OK . Thus Mycomputer icon appears on the desktop.
