Delete the Homegroup icon on the Windows desktop 8
HomeGroup feature is a great feature on Windows operating system. This feature helps users to share files and printers with multiple computers running Windows operating system extremely quickly and simply.
Normally, on the Windows Desktop, the Homegroup icon will appear. However, if you have too many application icons on your Desktop, it may cause your computer to start up more slowly.
So you should delete the application icons on the Desktop screen, including the Homegroup.o icon

Step 1:
On Start Screen Windows 8, you find Show or hide common icons on the desktop.
Alternatively, right-click on the lower left corner of the screen to display a menu containing Control Panel.
In the Control Panel interface, click to select Appearance and Personalization , select Next Personalization . Finally, click Change desktop icons in the left pane.
Step 2 :
Uncheck the Network section.
If the Network item has no traces, type the tick and then remove it.
Step 3:
Click OK to finish.
Now on Windows 8 Desktop you will no longer see the female Homegroup icon
