How to take a screenshot of the entire web page on Microsoft Edge

The usual way to take a screenshot is to use the Print Screen key, then use the photo editing tools on your computer to crop the exact area you need to capture.

There's nothing wrong with that, but if you're using Microsoft Edge (Chromium) and often need to take screenshots of web pages, and especially if you want to capture the entire content of a web page in one image, using the built-in Web Capture feature will save you a lot of time and effort.

Web Capture is a native feature of the Edge browser that lets you take a full-screen screenshot of a web page in JPEG format (instead of PDF), making it easy to store and share, especially when you're using messaging platforms like iMessage, Facebook Messenger, or WhatsApp.

To get started, open the Microsoft Edge browser on your Windows 10 computer or Mac and go to the website you want to take a screenshot of.

Once the web page opens, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to ensure that Web Capture can download all the content images on the page. This ensures that you don't miss any of the page's content in the final screenshot.

Now, click on the Web Capture button on the toolbar. If you don't see this button, you are most likely teaching on an older version of edge. Make sure you are using the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Next, select the 'Full Page' option.

You'll now see the Web Capture menu appear, where you can scroll to see everything you've captured (and make sure all elements, including images, are fully visible).

If you want to annotate or draw on the screenshot, click the "Draw" button.

From the drop-down menu next to the Draw button, choose a color and stroke thickness.

Next, just use your mouse cursor to manipulate. You can use the 'Erase' option to delete any annotations.

When finished, click the save button (looks like a floppy disk image) from the toolbar.

Microsoft Edge will immediately download the full-page screenshot JPEG to your computer's default download folder. You can click the 'Open File' button on the download bar at the bottom of the screen to open the image.

You will see a single long screenshot containing the entire content of the website. That's it. Good luck!
