How to enable 2-layer security on Telegram
Telegram launched two-layer security five years ago. If you have been using this service for a while or are just starting out, you should also enable this security feature immediately.

Your Telegram account is connected to your phone number, you will receive a code every time you log in to a new device. With two-factor security, you can set up a password at the same time with that code, you'll have to enter both when logging into your account.
Step 1. Open Telegram .
Step 2. Click on the menu of three dashes on the left side.
Step 3. Select Settings .
Step 4. Go to Privacy and Security .
Step 5. Select Two-Step Verification .
Step 6. Select Set Password .
Step 7. Enter the password you want to set.
Step 8. Confirm the password.
Step 9. Enter a hint for your password.
Step 10. Add a recovery email. If you forget your password, you can get the code sent back to this recovery email.
Step 11. You will receive a confirmation code sent to your email address. Enter this code to confirm the email.
Step 12. That's it, go back to Settings to finish enabling two-factor security for your account.
