Right click on the word you want to look up and select the Lookup 'word' command .
Your browser program will launch and connect to the Dictionary.com website, then navigate to the page containing the definition of the word you look up. 2. Use Full Reader Search to search for text
If you have to search for text in a PDF file, you can enter the search keyword directly in the Find field on the toolbar and press Enter . The default Find tool is used for simple search tasks, but you can do a more detailed search using the Full Reader Search tool.
Click the down arrow next to the Find field on the toolbar.
Select the Open Full Reader Search command.
When the Search window appears, click the Advanced Search Options link at the bottom of the window.
You can then choose to return the result containing the search keyword phrase or any word in that phrase, enable Sensitivity (including comments while searching, .). You can expand your search beyond open PDF files and find all other PDF files in the My Documents folder.
3. Use the Snapshot tool to copy images in a PDF document
Ever wanted to reuse the image file in PDF on another program? You just need to select the image, then right-click and select Copy Image . But if you want to copy only part of the image, use the Snapshot tool:
Open the Tool menu and select the Select & Zoom submenu then open the Snapshot tool.
Use the cursor to click and draw a rectangle around the image or part of the image you want to copy. Then release the mouse.

6. Read documents with Reading Mode and Automatic Scrolling
When opening a long PDF document in Adobe Reader, you can reduce eye strain and constantly have to move the slider using the Reading Mode and Automatic Scrolling feature .
Select the Hand tool in the toolbar.
Press Ctrl + H to activate Reading Mode .
Press Ctrl + Shift + H to activate the Automatic Scrolling tool.

7. Change page orientation

If you open a PDF document created from a PowerPoint program, you can configure and use Adobe Reader to simulate PowerPoint .
Go to Edit Preferences menu.
Select Full Screen in the Categories window.
If you want the slide to run automatically, just check the Advance Every checkbox and enter the amount of time to convert the slide in the Seconds box (in seconds).
If you want to enable transitions, select an item in the Default Transitions list.
Then click OK .
Press Ctrl + L to activate Full Screen Mode to start the slideshow.
Left click to open the next slide and right click to review the previous slide.
