PUBG Mobile 0.9.5 and Season 4: Historical Update Notes

Archive note: PUBG Mobile Season 4 arrived with version 0.9.5 in November 2018. It introduced the M762 assault rifle, a Sanhok scooter, dynamic Sanhok weather, a periodic Hardcore mode, and a new Royale Pass reward set. This is a historical update summary; it does not describe the game's current season or current pass structure.

Season 4 Royale Pass changes

Season 4 added firearm finishes, rare outfits, character faces, and hairstyles. The Elite Pass reward track included a total of 600 UC intended to help eligible players purchase the following season's pass.

The update also introduced Mission Cards for completing harder missions and refined the redemption feature so Elite Pass holders could buy discounted items with BP or RP points. A limited Black Friday discount event and temporary increases to the odds of selected crate items were announced for that period.

These prices, reward levels, crate odds, and pass names were tied to Season 4. Do not use them to estimate the value of a current Royale Pass; check the live client before spending UC.

M762 assault rifle

Version 0.9.5 added the M762 to all maps available at the time. The 7.62mm assault rifle supported single, three-round burst, and full-auto firing modes. Unlike the original article's wording, the official notes described it as accepting stock attachments; current attachment compatibility and balance should be checked in the live weapon interface.

Season 4 cosmetics

Season 4 included new outfits, weapon finishes, backpack designs, faces, and hairstyles. The official 0.9.5 notes did not identify the costumes as licensed Harley Quinn or Joker skins, so that unsupported claim has been removed. Cosmetics shown in an archived screenshot may no longer be obtainable.

Chat and matchmaking improvements

The chat system was optimized to use less memory and retain more messages. Matchmaking and chat were also changed so players did not have to choose a second language. These were interface improvements for the 0.9.5 client, not a new standalone messaging service.

Sanhok scooter and dynamic weather

The update added a two-seat scooter to Sanhok. It provided a compact way to move across the map, but it exposed both riders and announced their route by sound.

Sanhok also gained dynamic weather that could switch randomly among sunny, rainy, and foggy conditions. Periodic Hardcore mode

Hardcore mode removed the minimap footstep and audio direction indicators, requiring players to locate enemies from the sound itself. PUBG Mobile announced it as a periodically available “Hardcore Week” feature, not a permanent replacement for standard matches.

The original article said the mode removed footsteps; more precisely, it removed the visual sound cues. Players could still hear nearby movement through game audio.

What remains relevant

• The M762 became part of PUBG Mobile's broader weapon roster, although its balance has changed over time.
• Sanhok's compact layout still rewards quick looting, cover discipline, and short rotations.
• Seasonal passes and limited events should always be evaluated using the current in-game price and reward list.
• Old mode names and mechanics may return in altered form, but a 2018 screenshot is not evidence that the same event is currently active.
