A useful PUBG Mobile loadout covers two different jobs. One weapon should handle the fights you expect most often, while the second should solve the first weapon's main weakness. The best pairing therefore depends on your preferred range, the map, available ammunition and the attachments you actually find.
Weapon availability and balance can change between updates, so treat the examples below as role-based combinations rather than a fixed tier list. Check which parts fit each weapon in the PUBG Mobile attachment guide, and use the PUBG ammunition reference when planning inventory space.
1. Assault rifle and shotgun

An assault rifle (AR) covers most short-to-medium engagements, while a shotgun provides immediate close-range power inside buildings. This pairing suits aggressive players who expect to enter compounds or fight around doors and stairs.
The tradeoff is limited long-range pressure. Carry a suitable optic for the AR and avoid spending too much backpack space on shells. If the final circles move into open terrain, consider replacing the shotgun with a DMR or sniper rifle.
2. Light machine gun and DMR

A light machine gun (LMG) can sustain fire against vehicles, exposed squads or enemies moving between cover. A designated marksman rifle (DMR) adds controlled, accurate shots at medium and long range.
This combination is strong from a stable position but can be slow to handle during a sudden indoor fight. Reload the LMG before pushing and avoid being caught with an empty magazine. If both weapons use different ammunition, set a clear inventory limit for each.
3. DMR and submachine gun

A DMR handles repeated shots at distance, while a submachine gun (SMG) offers quick movement and manageable close-range fire. It is a practical pairing for players who want a specialized weapon at each end of the engagement range.
The main limitation is the middle ground: an enemy just beyond comfortable SMG range may require rapid DMR shots. Practice switching weapons instead of forcing one gun to cover every situation. A red-dot or holographic sight on the SMG and a moderate magnification optic on the DMR keep their roles distinct.
4. Sniper rifle and assault rifle

This is the classic all-range pairing. A bolt-action sniper rifle creates high-impact long-range opportunities, while the AR handles follow-up shots, pushes and close-to-medium combat.
Sniper rifles generally need less reserve ammunition than automatic weapons, leaving more inventory space for AR ammunition, healing and throwables. The combination becomes much less useful without a suitable optic, so keep a DMR or flexible second AR until the sniper setup is complete.
5. Submachine gun and assault rifle

An SMG and AR are easy to assemble from ordinary loot and provide reliable performance from close to medium range. Use the SMG for buildings and fast pushes, then switch to the AR when targets are farther away or better protected.
Because the two weapons can overlap at short range, give them different setups. Keep a close-range sight on the SMG and the best usable magnified optic on the AR. This pairing is less effective when opponents can hold long sightlines, so use terrain and smoke to close the distance.
6. Two assault rifles

Two ARs offer simple handling and abundant replacement options. Configure one for close-range automatic fire and the other for controlled single shots or bursts at medium range. Using different ammunition types can reduce competition for one ammo pool, but it also consumes more inventory slots.
This loadout is forgiving when ideal weapons have not appeared, yet it lacks the specialized long-range advantage of a DMR or sniper rifle. Replace one AR when the map and circle clearly favor distant engagements.
How to choose between the pairings
- Frequent building fights: AR + shotgun or SMG + AR.
- Mixed terrain: sniper rifle + AR or DMR + SMG.
- Squad support and vehicle pressure: LMG + DMR.
- Simple, flexible looting: two ARs.
Choose a pairing you can supply and control, not one that looks strongest on paper. A fully equipped familiar weapon is usually more useful than a rare gun with the wrong optic, too little ammunition or a role that does not fit the next circle.
