Inserting text into video is one of the basic video editing tasks. And you can do this with the iMovie app on iPhone. Open the iMovie application.

Touch Project then select the video you want to add text. If there is no video in Project yet, press the + button to add video to the project.

Touch the main project icon to open the project and edit the video

Now, click the video timeline near the bottom of the screen to display the available editing options. Then click on the "T" icon to add text and access iMovie text editing tools

Select the type of text and the position you want, for example, Standard font and Center position. Touch the text to edit or change the content with the iOS keyboard. When done, press the back arrow "<", then click the Share icon to save the video

Select Save Video to save the edited video to the Photos app and photo gallery or select iCloud Drive, Vimeo, Facebook, YouTube .

You can choose different video quality like 360p, 540p, 720p and 1080p. Note that the higher the quality, the better the image, but the larger the file size.
