Facebook finally hides spam posts and fake news
Following the battle against fake news and click statements, Facebook started hiding posts from users or posting spam.
Facebook has started hiding posts from people who regularly spam the News Feed to click on posts or articles with sensitive or misleading information. In its statement, the social networking giant said it updated the feature to 'reduce poor quality links' on the Facebook News Feed of Facebook users.
Facebook said it has conducted research to show that a small group of users 'often share a lot of posts in Public mode every day', and thus spam the feeds of others.
Research shows that people who share many Public posts are also people who share poor quality content. After this study, Facebook said they would "lower the priority" of shared posts from these accounts. The new policy will only apply to website domains and online articles, so pages, videos, images, check-ins or status lines will not be affected. Facebook said it aims to create more 'informative' News Feed for users. 'By taking these steps to improve the News Feed, we will see many good stories and reduce problematic link spreads such as clicking, misleading or sensitive issues'.

Meanwhile, Facebook also said it will release new Discover tab for Messenger, making it easier for users to find and interact with brands, chatbot. The tool revealed at the Facebook conference in April is part of the company's strategy to make Messenger a place to interact with businesses and users. They say they want their apps to look like Yellow Pages and help users easily connect with businesses. However, users can use the Discover tab to 'find businesses that interest them', which means that businesses can easily 'disturb' users.
