Apple is about to allow the retrieval of messages on iPhone
This new feature allows iPhone owners to retract messages sent through iMessage, a service integrated into the iPhone's Messages app. Both the sender and the receiver receive a notification when the message is recovered.
According to MacRumors, Apple is experimenting with internal retrieval of messages sent via iMessage in the next iOS version.
Specifically, this new feature allows iPhone owners to retract messages sent via iMessage, a service integrated in the iPhone's Messages app. Both the sender and the receiver receive a notification when the message is recovered.
This feature has appeared on Google's email service, giving users the option to review messages sent in 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds.
It's still unclear whether or not the ability to retrieve messages sent via iMessage will have a time limit like Gmail.
With this newly revealed information, Apple has not yet made any comments.
In addition to retrieving sent messages, Apple is testing many other features on iMessage such as displaying a dot when someone is drafting a response or tagging people in a group message . Because that's just a try. Whether or not these features can appear in the next iOS updates remains to be seen.
The message retrieval feature could be one of Apple's efforts to keep iPhone owners engaged with its apps instead of switching to third-party apps.
