Apple has just released the first beta update for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, which includes a new 64-bit test mode, preparing to remove 32-bit support.
Last year, Apple said that macOS High Sierra would be the last macOS version to support 32-bit applications. The beta macOS High Sierra update 10.13.4 today added a feature to warn users when using or installing 32-bit applications on the device.
'To prepare for the new macOS release, in which 32-bit applications will not be supported anymore, since macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, users will be notified when opening 32-bit applications. This message only appears once per application, "Apple said.
Developers can check the application's 64-bit compatibility
The beta also features a 64-bit test that the developer can turn on by opening Terminal, running the sudo nvram boot-args command = '- no32exec' and restarting the device.
32-bit applications will no longer be supported
Since this 64-bit test mode will prevent 32-bit processes from running on the system, Apple recommends turning off this feature with the sudo nvram boot-args = '' command on the Terminal and then restarting the computer. when you have updated your application.
Apple also said 64-bit testing features will be improved in the future for developers to check and update the application to meet new requirements. When macOS 10.14 is released (will be revealed this summer at WWDC 2018), 32-bit support will be completely removed.
macOS High Sierra currently supports the following lines:

- MacBook Pro 2010 or newer
- Mac Pro Mid 2010 or newer
