The harsh truth about learning skills: To become an expert, you must accept pain
Because not everyone possesses skills naturally, "training will create perfection" (practice makes perfect) . The key to forming these skills is repetition. To be sophisticated, you don't need to be perfect, but you are required to pursue perfection.
Although there is no so-called "shortcut", you can still do your best from your current position to become a leader. Excellence is formed not from any innate ability, but in the process of training. Similarly, success in all areas requires each person to devote themselves wholeheartedly to achieving it rather than finding a "miracle miracle".
The professional always follows the plan. The lack of professionalism allows problems in life to deviate from the planned railroad!
Professional people work to achieve expertise with a clear purpose. You don't need a "spectacular jump of faith" or powerful breakthroughs to become professional at work.
Jeff Goins explained this perfectly:
If you want to be a professional, you will have to stop the habit of observing what others have and not focus on what they have done to achieve it - a bad and unprofessional habit. Pursuing results without understanding the process will lead to short-term success, if not failure.
Self-discovery (Self-discovery) is the key
The things you want to do, want to become or want to create will stick together to create the person you are and where you want to be in life. You have to be clear about the destination and what you really want. It all comes from desire, passion and what really motivates you.
So the real question is if you spend thousands of hours, even 10 years just to train your skills about something, is it worth it? The last thing you will realize is that you have climbed a ladder that you originally put a ladder on the wrong wall.
Decide what you want to master. The goal is everything. If you know what you want, then it will be much easier. This may sound simple, but through my own experience, I realize that even smart, creative and talented people rarely know exactly what they are working for and why they do it. so.
You must appreciate and appreciate the process
You can work smarter instead of harder but it is still just a process. That does not change. I am not a professional writer. I am nothing. I still write very badly. But I value the process. I appear every week to share what I learn and learn from other excellent writers. I will continue to learn every day to become better. That is the only way. Short cuts cannot help me get better.
You have to spend time. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Thomas Edison, who invented the electric light, once said that "I didn't fail, I just found 10,000 inactive ways." Think about the number of times Edison tried to create the electric light and how long it took him to turn his idea into a reality.
Conquering any skill to become a proficient person requires time and effort - something many people do not have or are not willing to spend.
There is no substitute for hard work
Life is a series of experiences and through experience, we will grow up even though it is sometimes difficult to recognize this. Because the world is formed for each individual to develop personality and we must understand that failure and pain will make us stronger to move forward.
What makes Tiger Woods great? What makes Warren Buffett an investment legend? We think we know: Every person they own possesses innate talent that knows exactly what they need to do. However, the fact is that no one was born to be a reformer or an investor or a chess player.
You must practice and find ways to become proficient. You will gain greatness only when you work hard, your best for years. And it's not just a constant effort, it's a taste of the rigors and sufferings you have to overcome to achieve the so-called proficiency in a field.
Reaching the target with the attitude of a professional is not easy. In fact, to be a true "pro" is a journey full of suffering. To achieve the so-called "good" and even "great" thing about what you want to do, you will have to "obey" the lessons drawn from the previous experts. You have to research and test many of their techniques until you find your own style. When facing failure, give yourself time to adjust but don't give up.
You will have to train, even if that process hurts you
The simple fact is that most of the time we are in conflict. You must keep challenging yourself and keep pushing yourself beyond your own limits. I can guarantee that if you set up a plan for all tasks and start following it, there will be days when you feel like stopping. You can't go far, but the ultimate goal will keep you clear.
When starting a business or doing anything, there will be days when you feel like you don't want to continue. However, you must be persistent to become better and smarter than your old "version". Keep going even if this journey makes you uncomfortable, painful and exhausted.
Good things are waiting for you ahead.
