Fortunately, however, with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update update, it is now possible to do just one click.
To reset Edge, follow the steps below:
- Close Microsoft Edge if running.
- Go to Settings> Apps & Features and scroll down to the Microsoft Edge section in the list.
- Click Microsoft Edge> Advanced Options> Reset .
- A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you are deleting all Microsoft Edge data.
- Click Reset.
- Wait until the process is complete.
So you've reset Edge already!
When resetting Edge, you will bring the browser to its original settings, meaning that you will lose all your browsing history, settings, saved logins and cookies. However, you will not lose your bookmarks.
If your computer is not running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, everything will be a bit different and there will be no option to reset the applications in the OS settings. It's best to wait until Windows officially puts this feature into the device's settings.
