Guide to Collecting and Powering Pets in Lost Ark

Pets are one of the best supports that players can take advantage of in Lost Ark. They will follow the character wherever they go, automatically collecting any items on the ground.

In addition, pets can access memory remotely, send messages from anywhere, and provide small battle buffs. In this article, learn how to collect pets, their abilities, and all of their battle perks in Lost Ark.

While the pet is active, any loot that lands on the ground will automatically go into the player's inventory. That's the main reason to own one, besides they have additional benefits like battle buffs and extra storage space.

The auto-loot aspect of pets is the core functionality that gamers will find on all pets. Battle buffs and other utility effects require a subscription to Crystalline Aura.

How to collect pets in Lost Ark

There are three ways to own a pet in Lost Ark:

  1. An early game mission.
  2. In-game events.
  3. Lost Ark's Shop (Founder Pack includes an exclusive pet).
  4. All players can get an Epic level pet for free by completing the [Guide] Learning About Pets quest.

Head to the NPC Working Achatemeow located in the center of Prideholme to start the quest. This is as a short guide on how the auto loot feature of pets works. If you miss this quest, there is still another [Guide] quest unlocked at level 50.

Once you have a pet, press Alt + P to open the pet menu. Gamers can also use this menu to summon any pets they already own, allowing them to automatically loot nearby items and grant additional buffs if Crystalline Aura is active.

If you don't like the bunny received in the beginner quest, you can earn more pets by completing limited-time events or buying pets in the shop. Pets purchased this way cost Royal Crystals, the premium currency of the Lost Ark. All Lost Ark Founders Packs also contain a pet.

Pet's ability

Each pet in Lost Ark has 2 battle effects, called Pet Effect. One effect is defensive in nature and the other is based on increasing the amount of damage done to the character. These effects are released randomly when the player first acquires a pet.

If the pet doesn't have the desired stats, you can reroll the pet's effects at the NPC Working Achatemeow in Prideholme. Each reel costs 7 Crystals - one of Lost Ark's free currency.
