Fun Activities for Kids While Camping

Summer is the season of camping. And what can we do to help children have fun while still increasing their bonding or adding value to life? This article will suggest some interesting camping activities for children .

These camps allow kids to bond with friends and have a great time. Play build castle with tree branches

One thing all kids love to do when they are on vacation at a sandy beach is build sand castles. But what if you are in the jungle living in a simple tent? Well, you can also build a twig castle with twigs and dry leaves and enjoy your creations.

To build a proper twig castle, instead of buckets and windows, you will need some glue, tape, and sturdy scissors. You can also ask the camp leader or supervisor for help for inspiration.

Storytelling

An area that includes a wide variety of children from many different backgrounds and cultural areas, creating a culturally rich camping environment with many different ethnicities.

In this activity, campers are divided into small groups and one player on the team is asked to start a story with a line inspired by the scene around them. The next player picks up where they left off and adds another line to continue the story. Ideas and thoughts are distributed evenly and the groups share a common space. This activity is great for bringing together a variety of people and creating some ridiculous but entertaining campfire stories.

To catch or not to catch

This game requires players to stand in a circle with one person in the middle. A ball is given to the players and they pass the ball to each other. One person in the middle says catch or no catch. The person who does not follow the instructions is eliminated. The last person standing is the winner.

Play Noah's Ark

This fun memory game can be played in small or large groups over a snack. In this activity, all members are asked to sit in a circle and take turns naming the animals that can be found in Noah's Ark, in alphabetical order. Each player must remember and name the last animal named and add one more to it.

Since it is a sequencing game, one member is responsible for writing down the correct sequence and monitoring whether the players say the names correctly. Anyone who gives the wrong sequence is eliminated from the game. The game continues until there is one person left with the correct sequence.

Singing game

This is the best camping game to play at night, around a gently burning campfire, campers will sing a song.

The last letter of the song is the letter that the next singer must sing. Whoever cannot think of the song within ten seconds loses.

Selfie Treasure Hunt

Teens love selfies these days, right? So why not have a selfie treasure hunt while camping? Divide participants into teams and create a list of items or challenges they need to find or complete. Each item or challenge should be documented with a selfie, which adds a personal touch to the game while creating lasting memories.

Set a time limit for the selfie treasure hunt to keep it fun. Once the game is complete, review everyone's selfies and declare a winner. This game allows teens to explore their surroundings & capture beautiful moments in the process.
