Clash Royale does not have a current supported Windows Phone version, and the old method that used Wconnect, Android Debug Bridge, Developer Mode, and an Android APK is obsolete. It depended on an unfinished Windows 10 Mobile compatibility feature and should not be used on a primary device.
Why the original installation method is no longer suitable
The earlier guide asked users to enable Developer Mode, pair the phone with a PC, install Wconnect components, and sideload an Android package. That workflow has several problems:
- Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile are discontinued platforms.
- The Android compatibility layer used by the method was never a stable consumer feature.
- Old Wconnect and ADB packages may come from unverified mirrors.
- An outdated Clash Royale APK may fail to connect, update, or meet current security requirements.
- Enabling developer access and sideloading unknown packages increases device and account risk.

The commands in the old article are therefore not reproduced as active instructions. Even if installation appears to complete, that does not mean the game can authenticate, download current assets, or play reliably.
Use an officially supported device
The practical solution is to install Clash Royale from the official app store on a supported Android or iOS device. Confirm the developer is Supercell, review the current operating-system requirements, and install updates through the same store.
If you want to play on a Windows PC, check the current official Supercell and Google Play Games for PC availability for your region and hardware. Do not download a “PC edition” from an unrelated website or sign in through an unofficial launcher.
Protect your game progress
Before moving away from an old phone, make sure the game progress is connected to the account-linking method currently offered by Supercell. Complete any link or recovery process only inside the official game or verified support flow.
- Do not send a password or verification code to another person.
- Do not buy a preloaded account.
- Do not install a modified APK promising free gems or unlocked cards.
- Do not trust a tool that asks for remote access to the phone or computer.
What if the old Windows Phone still has the game?
An installed legacy copy may open only partially or may stop at an update or connection requirement. Avoid factory resets or developer-mode changes solely to preserve it. If the game provides a supported account-linking screen, secure the progress first, then continue on a current supported device.

About the archived screenshots
The images above are retained to identify the historical Wconnect workflow, not to recommend it. Interface labels, packages, certificates, and service endpoints shown in an old tutorial are no longer evidence that the process is safe or functional.
Best next step
- Use a currently supported Android or iOS device, or verify official PC availability.
- Install only from the platform's official store.
- Link or recover progress through Supercell's official in-game process.
- Remove any unofficial APKs, installers, or credential tools downloaded for the old method.
There is no dependable modern fix that turns a Windows Phone into a supported Clash Royale device. Moving to an official platform is safer and more likely to preserve updates, multiplayer access, and account recovery.
