Recently, a Twitter account named Nori, 16, shared photos showing that this guy has successfully installed and run Windows 10 (32-bit) with only 192MB of RAM. This RAM is less than half of the 1GB RAM recommended by Microsoft for this operating system.
Recently, a Twitter account named Nori, 16, shared photos showing that this guy has successfully installed and run Windows 10 (32-bit) with only 192MB of RAM. This RAM is less than half of the 1GB RAM recommended by Microsoft for this operating system.
Specifically, Nori uses Windows 10 November 2019 Update (1909), on Oracle VM Virtualbox with ARM processors. Nori has always updated the situation whenever reducing RAM amount.
The 16-year-old started with 512MB of RAM, then he slowly lowered it to 256MB, then 192MB and all of these RAM levels successfully booted into Windows. The 'blue screen of death' error (BsoD) only appears when Nori drops to 128MB RAM.
Finally, Nori stopped at 140MB, the lowest amount of RAM that can be used to boot into Windows 10. However, with this amount of RAM, the operating system will not be able to run the UI interface to log in.
Nori's result surprised many people, because this level of RAM is close to 128MB of RAM recommended by Microsoft to run Windows XP (2001).
