June 1020 security patch of Windows 10 encountered a problem causing the machine to automatically restart

As usual, Microsoft acknowledged this problem and the patch could be released on July 14.

After the Windows 10 May 2020 update with a series of issues, Microsoft continues to release a June 2020 patch for Windows 10. This is a patch that is part of Microsoft's Patch Tuesday program.

However, the June 2020 patch continues to annoy users when the effectiveness of the patch is not seen yet. Microsoft itself acknowledged that the KB4557957 patches for Windows 10 2004 and KB4560960 for Windows 10 1909/1903 had a serious problem that caused the user's computer to reboot itself.

Previously, the June 2020 patch was considered an important update because it provides solutions to some common Windows 10 bugs.

After Patch Tuesday Windows 10 update automatically restarted, users cannot interfere

According to Microsoft, the new update causes problems in the Local Security Authentication Process, which is responsible for authenticating users in the WinLogon service. This error causes the computer to notify users and restart itself after 1 minute.

On the user 's side, not only did it get hit once, but people also reported that after updating Patch Tuesday, their computers were rebooted several times a week. Microsoft said an update to fix this problem could be released on July 14.

You can also fix this problem yourself by removing the Patch Tuesday update by following these steps:

  1. Open the Start menu and click Settings
  2. In the Settings window , click Update & Security
  3. Click "View update history" and then click "Uninstall updates" at the top
  4. In the new window that appears, find the update you want to remove, in this case KB4557957 or KB4560960 . Right-click on the update and press Uninstall
