How to Make a Brief Case on Windows
Briefcases are a Windows technology suited for keeping certain files updated between two drives. Although their technology is being superseded by cloud computer solutions such as Dropbox, if you need to create one, this article will tell...
Method 1 of 1:
Syncing with another drive
The second part of working with briefcases is the ability to sync with another drive. In order to work with files across a second drive:
- Copy the briefcase over to the second drive. You can do this in a multitude of ways, the simplest of which involves dragging the briefcase into the Windows Explorer window of the drive you want to sync to.
- Go to another computer and edit any of the files in the briefcase.
- When you are back at the computer you created the briefcase on, right-click the briefcase while viewing the second drive in a window and click "Update All". This will sync any of the changes you have made to the files with the computer.
