How to clear the list of recently opened files in Adobe Photoshop

How to Clear Recent Files List in Photoshop

To clear the list of recently opened files in Adobe Photoshop, you first click on the ' File ' tab in the menu bar. Then click ' Open Recent '. In the small menu that appears, select ' Clear Recent File List '.

It's all simply that. The list of files that you recently opened in Photoshop has been deleted, and you will no longer see them in the File menu or on the ' Home ' screen as before. How to Hide Recent Files List in Photoshop

As you've seen above, it's easy to clear the Recent File list in Photoshop. But if you open more files later, you'll see the new files appear in this list again. To completely hide Recent File List on Photoshop. First, click on the ' Edit ' tab in the menu bar. Next, select Preferences , then click ' File Handling ' in the menu that appears.

When the Preferences window opens, look towards the bottom of the window and set the ' Recent File List Contains ' option to the value ' 0 ' (zero) using the text box next to it.

Then click ' OK '. Photoshop will save your changes and close the Preferences window . From now on, you will no longer see the list of recently opened files in the File menu or on the Home as usual.
