With the Files app added in devices running iOS 11, we can now easily manage documents, photos and files in different locations on the phone. The application also provides Apple users with a convenient and simple way to back up photos and files on iOS.
When you open the application for the first time, you will see folders for different applications already installed and there are a number of suitable file management functions including iCloud Drive, Dropbox and Google Drive.
Thanks to Files application, you can selectively save images from Camera Roll to cloud hard drives without leaving the photo application.

Before you start, if you want to save the image to a specific folder, you can create a new folder in the Files application or in your cloud storage application. iOS 11 does not provide the option to create new folders while performing image saving tasks.
Here are the steps to take to save images with Files:
- Open the photo you want to save and click Share. If you want to save multiple photos at once, just click on multiple photos to choose.
- In Apple's options menu, click Save to Files .
- You will be prompted to choose the location where you want to save the image. If you want to save all images in a folder, you should create a folder before saving the image to Files.
- Finally, click Add to add one or more photos to the location selected in Files.
There are many ways to save photos to cloud storage such as automatically backing up iOS photos with IFTTT, iCloud or Google Drive but this is the most convenient way.
