These are the most popular iPhone models for people switching from Android to iOS!
Early last month, there was a report from CIRP about the percentage of new iPhone buyers coming from Android. Now, the company has released its latest report revealing which iPhone models users switching from Android to iOS will choose.
Which iPhone models do you think they are?
CIRP's research on the rate of Android users switching to iOS shows that 13% of new iPhone buyers came from Google's operating system in the past year.
But which iPhone are Android users turning to? Latest data from CIRP on new iPhone purchases in the US shows that the most popular model(s) is the iPhone 14/Plus with 26% of Android to iOS switchers purchasing in 2023. Right behind, iPhone 14 Pro/Max accounts for 25% of purchases.
As shown below, overall, Google OS switchers are less interested in buying the latest and greatest from Apple than current iOS users.
What's interesting is that in terms of budget, people will switch from Android to iPhone SE or iPhone 12 in 2023 at twice the rate of current iPhone customers.
CIRP believes that because many users switching from Android to iOS in the past 'chose less expensive devices', 'the old iPhone may be more suitable for their budget. Additionally, Android converts exploring the world of iOS may not feel the need to get the latest and greatest iPhone with top-of-the-line features'.
