PUBG Mobile Survive Till Dawn: Zombie Types and Tactics

Survive Till Dawn was PUBG Mobile's Resident Evil 2 crossover mode, mixing ordinary player combat with waves of infected enemies. Its roster included common zombies, ranged attackers, fast creatures, and high-health bosses. The mode has appeared as limited-time content, so it may not be selectable in the current version of PUBG Mobile.

This guide describes the classic version shown in the screenshots. If the mode returns, enemy health, drops, weapons, and spawn behavior may differ after balancing updates.

General survival strategy

• Gather ammunition, healing, and a reliable close-range weapon before nightfall.
• Fight outdoors when possible so a large enemy cannot trap you in a doorway.
• Keep moving while firing; standing still makes ranged attacks and crowds much harder to avoid.
• Clear ranged or fast enemies before spending ammunition on slow targets.
• Coordinate fire against bosses instead of scattering the squad across several targets.

Regular zombies

Common zombies are slow and individually weak, but a group can block an exit or surround a distracted player. Lead the group into open ground, keep a safe gap, and use controlled bursts or head-level shots. Avoid emptying a magazine into a crowd unless the team needs an immediate escape route.

Large knife-wielding zombie

This heavier enemy takes more damage than an ordinary zombie and is dangerous inside a small room. Move into open space and circle it while shooting. Do not stand beside it when it is defeated: in the classic mode, this enemy could explode on death and leave loot behind.

Spitter

The Spitter is recognizable by its face covering and ranged toxic attack. Its projectiles can pressure a squad even while slower zombies are still approaching. Strafe sideways as the projectile travels, break line of sight behind solid cover, and eliminate the Spitter early. It is usually easier to defeat than the major bosses, so a short focused burst can remove a serious distraction.

Licker

The Licker is fast, closes distance quickly, and can appear on walls or ceilings. Give it room rather than fighting from a narrow corner. A shotgun can be effective at close range, while an automatic weapon lets you keep dealing damage as the target changes direction. Reload before entering a building where one may be present.

G-form boss

This crossover boss is based on William Birkin's transformed form from Resident Evil 2. It has far more health and mobility than ordinary infected enemies. Fight in a large area, rotate around obstacles, and concentrate the squad's strongest weapons on it. Heavy weapons such as the M134 minigun or flamethrower were especially valuable in the classic event, but survival still depended on avoiding attacks rather than trading damage at close range.

Tyrant

The Tyrant is a durable, fast boss whose melee strikes can quickly knock down a player. Do not approach simply to save ammunition. Spread out enough that one attack cannot hit the whole squad, keep the boss in open terrain, and rotate aggro while teammates fire. Revive only after another player has drawn the boss away.

Prepare your loadout for the mode

Zombie waves consume more ammunition than an ordinary encounter, but a bag filled only with bullets leaves no room for recovery items and throwables.
