PUBG Mobile's classic Survive Till Dawn event added several items built for fighting large zombie waves: the Zombie Grenade, M134 minigun, Combat Knife, and flamethrower. They were event weapons rather than standard Classic-mode equipment, and their availability or behavior may differ if the limited-time mode returns.
This guide explains the version shown in the archived screenshots. For the enemies these items were designed to fight, see the Survive Till Dawn zombie and boss guide.
Zombie Grenade

The Zombie Grenade was not a conventional explosive. In the classic event, throwing it summoned an infected enemy—often the large knife-wielding zombie—at the landing point. It could create a distraction or put pressure on another player, but a poor throw could add another threat beside your own squad.
How to use it
- Throw it away from teammates and the route you need for retreat.
- Use solid cover before deploying it so the summoned enemy does not immediately target you.
- Do not spend it while the squad is already surrounded by a wave.
- Treat it as a tactical distraction, not a reliable way to damage a boss.
The grenade could appear among zombie drops in the legacy mode. Drop rules are event-specific, so do not assume every infected enemy will provide one.
M134 minigun

The M134 offered sustained fire against dense groups and high-health enemies. Its strengths were volume of fire and crowd control; its tradeoffs were slower handling, heavy ammunition demand, and reduced mobility while using it.
How to use it
- Start firing with open space behind you so you can retreat while maintaining distance.
- Let teammates cover reloads and fast enemies approaching from the side.
- Use short, deliberate bursts against scattered ordinary zombies; save sustained fire for a crowd or boss.
- Avoid becoming stationary in a doorway where the weapon's firepower cannot prevent a flank.
The classic mode associated the minigun with special zombie loot and event drops. Its ammunition and magazine values may be rebalanced in another version, so use the statistics displayed in the current mode.
Combat Knife

The Combat Knife provided a way to conserve ammunition against isolated, weak infected enemies. It was a poor answer to a dense group because melee range leaves the player exposed to several attacks at once.
How to use it
- Use it only when one slow enemy is separated from the group.
- Keep a loaded firearm ready before entering a building or a nighttime wave.
- Do not chase a target into a crowd simply to save a few rounds.
- Switch back to a gun immediately when a fast enemy or ranged attacker appears.
Flamethrower

The flamethrower was another crowd-control weapon in the original event. It used its own fuel rather than ordinary firearm ammunition and was particularly useful when multiple zombies approached through a narrow lane.
How to use it
- Group pursuing zombies by moving through open ground, then turn and fire when they line up.
- Maintain space; the weapon's value drops if enemies reach melee range from several sides.
- Watch the fuel reserve and switch weapons before the tank is empty.
- Ask a teammate to protect the sides while you focus on the main wave.
In the archived version, the flamethrower and fuel were linked to special enemies or boss rewards. That does not guarantee the same drop source in a future event.
Which weapon should you keep?
Choose for the immediate threat. The minigun and flamethrower are strongest when the squad expects a wave or boss, while the Combat Knife saves ordinary ammunition during quiet moments. The Zombie Grenade is situational and should not replace healing, ammunition, or a dependable firearm.
These items can consume or influence backpack space, so clear unused ammunition and coordinate supplies across the team. The PUBG Mobile backpack guide provides a useful inventory framework, and the attachment guide helps prepare the ordinary weapons that must carry the squad between special drops.
Survive Till Dawn has been limited-time content. Check the mode selector and current event notes in PUBG Mobile before trying to find these weapons.
