PUBG Mobile Survive Till Dawn: 8 Beginner Survival Tips

Survive Till Dawn adds zombie waves and boss enemies to the usual PUBG Mobile threats from rival players and the shrinking zone. Beginners should use daylight to prepare, keep an escape route during night waves and avoid spending every resource on a boss that the squad is not ready to fight.

1. Use water only as an emergency escape route

Ordinary zombies may be unable to follow a player into deep water, which can create temporary separation from a crowd. Water is not complete protection: ranged enemies such as Spitters can still attack, and swimming leaves you exposed to enemy players on shore.

Enter the water only when you know the exit point. Cross toward cover rather than swimming parallel to the bank while the play zone closes.

2. Loot during daylight and avoid rooms with one exit at night

Daylight is the best time to collect ammunition, healing items and a usable close-range weapon. Before darkness, reload both weapons and move toward an area with enough open space to circle a group.

A building can provide cover from enemy players, but a small room becomes dangerous when zombies block the only door. If the squad fights indoors, assign players to different entrances and identify a second route out before the wave arrives.

3. Elevated positions help, but they are not completely safe

Boxes, low roofs and other elevated surfaces can slow melee enemies and make headshots easier. Ranged zombies can still reach these positions, and a player who runs out of ammunition may be forced to jump into the crowd to collect loot.

Use high ground as a temporary firing position, not a place to remain for the entire night. Keep enough ammunition for the next movement and watch the route back to the play zone.

4. Prioritize inventory space instead of chasing a larger backpack

Backpack balance can vary between versions of the mode. Whatever capacity is available, reserve space for ammunition, healing and the special fuel or ammunition required by any heavy weapon you intend to keep.

Drop attachments for weapons you do not carry and avoid collecting more ammunition than the squad can use. A smaller organized inventory is more useful than a full backpack that cannot accept an emergency healing item.

5. Clear special zombies when the reward justifies the risk

Some special zombies can drop valuable equipment, including mode-specific heavy weapons. Fight them during a quieter period when the squad has room to move. Do not chase a drop through an active crowd or toward another team.

If the version includes zombie grenades or summon mechanics, use them only after choosing open terrain and preparing ammunition. The item is not worth triggering a dangerous encounter in a confined space.

6. Treat the Tyrant as an optional squad boss

The Tyrant can punish solo players and unprepared squads with close-range and thrown attacks. Fight only when the team has enough ammunition, healing and time before the next zone movement.

• Use open ground so players can move sideways and maintain distance.
• Clear ordinary zombies before focusing the boss.
• Attack from more than one angle without spreading beyond revive range.
• Leave if the play zone, another squad or low ammunition makes the fight unsafe.

7. Carry one flexible firearm with any heavy weapon

High-capacity or high-damage weapons are useful against crowds, but the best ammunition type depends on what the squad can consistently loot. Do not force a specific caliber when it leaves the main weapon undersupplied.

A Minigun or Flamethrower can handle close zombie pressure, while an assault rifle provides sights, faster handling and a response to enemy players at longer range. Carrying two specialized heavy weapons can leave the player vulnerable outside their effective range.

8. Use vehicles for rotation and escape

A four-seat vehicle keeps the squad together, shortens zone rotations and can create distance from a large wave. Park it facing the intended escape direction and avoid leaving it where zombies can surround the doors.

Repeatedly ramming bosses can damage or strand the vehicle. Preserve transportation for the next zone unless the squad has a clear reason to risk it.

Beginner checklist before nightfall

• Reload both weapons and share spare ammunition.
• Carry healing items and keep inventory space for important drops.
• Choose open terrain with cover and more than one exit route.
• Keep teammates close enough to revive each other.
• Mark the next zone and secure transportation before the wave becomes dense.

Survive Till Dawn is easier when the squad prepares before the wave instead of reacting after it is surrounded. Movement, resource control and a safe route matter more than chasing every zombie or boss.
