Microsoft tried hard to make Edge a popular browser, but unfortunately that did not materialize. Therefore, Microsoft decided to always death this browser in the future.

Microsoft tried hard to make Edge a popular browser, but unfortunately that did not materialize. Therefore, Microsoft decided to always death this browser in the future.

According to information from Windows Central, Microsoft is researching a new browser, code-named Anaheim, developed based on Chromium core like Google Chrome, Opera and Safari to replace Edge. The new browser will be capable of analyzing across multiple platforms and reducing research and maintenance costs.

The new browser will be released early next year for Insider users, and will eventually replace Edge completely.

Unlike the PC version, the Edge browser on Android also uses Chromium core. Replacing this browser with Chromium browser will help Microsoft better support and can use extensions for Chrome, one of the important factors that prevent users from abandoning Google's operating system.
