How to turn off or show the Preview URL link on Skype

When we use chat software, text, Skype video calls and share any links, the URL Preview link will appear as a preview image of the site. Some users feel that this link URL Preview is quite inconvenient, when appearing automatically image preview website, affecting personal privacy when you do not want others to know about this site. So how can I turn off the preview image of the website, turn off the Preview URL when I send the link on Skype?

The preview image for the website link sent in the Skype chat will look like the image below.

Step 1:

First of all we access personal Skype accounts. At the main interface, click on Tools and then press Options . Or users can press Ctrl +, to access.

Step 2:

In the Skype Options installation window, click IM & SMS (Instant Messaging & SMS) and then select IM appearance (Quick messaging).

Step 3:

If you look to the right of the interface, you will see a lot of options for messages on Skype, so we will leave Show link previews available to turn off the preview of the Website Preview URL on Skype. Click Save to save the changes to the software.

So when you return to the chat conversation interface, the preview image will appear for the website to disappear, but only to link the original website. In case the user wants to display the link URL Preview again, we just need to re-select Show link previews.

The feature displays the preview image of the website, the Skype Preview URL when sending the website link in the conversation, sometimes without using it because it can reveal the privacy of the user. In addition, the display also makes users not distinguish between safe and fake links, increasing the risk of virus infection on Skype.
