How to Block a Phone Number

The call blocking process will vary depending on the type of phone you are using. iPhones and some Android phones have a built-in number blocking feature. Many Android apps can also block calls. If you are receiving a lot of calls from unknown or private numbers, contact your carrier to ask about the blocking options they offer. If you have a terrestrial (landline) telecommunications line, your carrier may offer you various number blocking options. You can also add your phone number to your regional Do Not Call list (for US residents) to prevent telemarketers from obtaining your number.
