Tricks to change Command Prompt background color on Windows

Command Prompt on Windows has the function of executing the command that the user wants (like an interpreter) to instruct a computer program to operate and perform a specific task.

 

By default, the color of Command Prompt is black. However, if you want to change the background color of Command Prompt to make it easier to see, it is still possible. In the article below, Network Administrator will guide you through the steps to change the color of Command Prompt on Windows.

To change the color of Command Prompt on Windows, first start Command Prompt by typing the keyword cmd in the Search box to search.

Then right click on Command Prompt and select Properties .

Next, click on the Colors tab. Here you can choose to change the color for Screen Background, Screen Text, Popup Text, Popup Background.

In the top left corner you will see a color palette for you to choose from.

In case if you don't find the color you want in the color list, you can search in the RGB color code.
