Highlight Library and press ✕. Just press the right arrow key on the joystick or push the left switch to the right until you highlight the bookshelf icon at the bottom of the menu bar. Select Games in the menu bar to the left of Library to filter games.

If the game has an additional program you want to remove from the menu bar, simply highlight the game in the menu bar and press Options .

Highlight the game with additional programs to remove and press Options. Use the joystick or switch to operate the game list. Highlight the game with the add-on to be removed and press the Options button on the controller. It's the pill-shaped button to the right of the touch panel in the center of the controller. This opens a menu on the right side of the screen.

Select Delete and press ✕. Select "Delete" near the bottom of the right menu. The confirmation screen is displayed immediately.

Select Ok and press ✕. You will see "Ok" as the second option displayed to the right of the confirmation screen. This will confirm that you want to delete the game and will remove the set of games and extras.

Don't worry. Data saved on the game will not be deleted. You can continue the game after reinstalling.

Place the game disc in the drive. You need to find the game disc and put it in the drive on the front of your PlayStation 4. The device automatically installs the game without any additional programs. You have to wait a while for the device to finish installing and updating the game.

Use games purchased from the PlayStation Store

Sign in to PS4. To do this, you will select the user profile on the PS4 login screen. Use the Dualshock controller to enter the passcode if you must enter it to log in.

Make sure you're signed in with the account you used to purchase games and additional content.

Highlight Library and press ✕. Just press the right arrow key on the joystick or push the left switch to the right until you can highlight the bookshelf icon at the bottom of the menu bar. Next, press the "X" button on the controller. This will show you a list of all the games installed on your PS4.

Select Purchased and press ✕. The "Purchased" option is available from the menu to the left of the Library menu. You will see a list of all purchased games.

Highlight the game you just deleted and press ✕. Use the joystick or the left switch to navigate the list of games and apps. Highlight the game you just deleted and press the blue "X" button on the controller to select it.

Or, you can select the magnifying glass icon in the upper left corner and enter the name of the deleted game in the search bar. This is a search for games by name.

Select Download and press ✕. This is the only option in the left menu. Press the blue "X" button to select. Your game is instantly downloaded and reinstalled with no additional content. You will have to wait a while for the game to finish downloading, installing and updating.

Reinstall additional programs

Open the PlayStation Store. It's a blue shopping bag with the PlayStation logo. You will see this icon displayed above the menu bar. If you want to reinstall additional content, you can do so through the PlayStation Store.

Most games have an option to download additional programs and downloadable content on the game's main menu screen. Select this option to open the additional content page in the PlayStation Store.

Select Search . This is the option with a magnifying glass icon displayed at the top of the screen.

Enter the name of the game that needs to be installed additional programs. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the game name. You will see a list of games in the search results.

Select the game. Games often show up at the top of the search results list.

If the additional content you want to install shows up in the search results, you can choose it right there.

Select Add-ons . This option is in the lower right corner of the screen. You will see additional content for the game.

Select additional content you purchased. This opens the Playstation Store page for that additional content.

Select Choose a version . This is the option in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Select Add-on Content . This option is available in the selection pane in the window in the center of the screen.

Select Download . This is to download and reinstall additional content.
