What is animoji?

The Animoji is currently an exclusive feature on the iPhone X, because the feature uses new sensors and is only available on the iPhone X's Face ID. Animoji will use TrueDepth front camera, combined with Face ID and 3D sensor features to identify the entire expression on your face.

TrueDepth front camera can analyze more than 50 different movements on the face, detecting movements on the eyebrows, cheeks, chin, eyes, jaw, lips and mouth.

Currently users can use Animoji in iMessage and only in iMessage to record face action and send it to friends. The characters available on the system will mimic your voice about face gestures, making messages much more lively.
