Keyboard shortcuts help switch between running Tabs


Ctrl + 1-8 : Switch to another tab counting from left

Ctrl + 9 : Go to the last tab

Ctrl + Tab : Go to the next tab (located on the right)

(similar to Ctrl + Page Up but this key combination is not effective in Internet Explorer)

Ctrl + Shift + Tab : Go to the next tab (located on the left)

(similar to Ctrl + Page Down but this key combination is not effective in IE)

Ctrl + W / Ctrl + F4 : Close the current tab

Ctrl + Shift + T : Reopen closed tabs only

Ctrl + T : Open a new tab

Ctrl + N : Open a new browser window

Middle click on tab : Close tab

Ctrl + left click / Middle click : Open link in new tab

Shift + left mouse click : Open a link in a new window

Ctrl + Shift + left mouse click : Open a link in a new tab and move to that tab

Locate


Alt + left arrow / Backspace : Back

Alt + right arrow / Shift + Backspace : Forward

F5 : Reload

Ctrl + F5 : Reload the page and skip the cache, reload the entire web page

Escape : Stop

Alt + Home : Go to the homepage

Zoom in / Out


Ctrl and ' + ' / Ctrl + scroll up : Zoom in

Ctrl and '- ' / Ctrl + scroll down : Zoom out

Ctrl + 0 : Return to the default mode

F11: Open full screen mode

Move


Space / Page Down : Scroll the web page down

Shift + Space / Page Up : Scroll web page up

Home : Go to the top of the page

End : Go to the bottom of the page

Address bar


Ctrl + L / Alt + D / F6 : Highlight web addresses so you can type new

Ctrl + Enter : Add a prefix 'www.' and '.com' to the address and reload the website. For example, type 'TipsMake' in the address bar and press Ctrl + Enter to open www.TipsMake.com.

Alt + Enter : Open the web address in use in a new tab

Ctrl + K / Ctrl + E : Quickly move to the search box (or go to the address bar if the browser does not have a dedicated search box and in IE only use Ctrl + E)

Alt + Enter : Perform a search in a new tab

Ctrl + F / F3 : Open the search box on the current web page

Ctrl + G / F3 : Go to the next search result

Ctrl + Shift + G / Shift + F3 : Go to the previous search result

Web History and Bookmark


Ctrl + H : Open browsing history page

Ctr + J : Open the download history page

Ctrl + D : Bookmark the current web page

Ctrl + Shift + Del : Open Clear Browsing History window (set to clear browsing data)

Other functions


Ctrl + P : Print the current page

Ctrl + S : Save the current page to the computer

Ctrl + O : Open a file from the computer

Ctrl + U : Open the website's source code (does not apply to IE)

F12 : Open web development tools (requires Firebug extension for Firefox)
