This is an excerpt of experimental add-ons on the Gmail Labs page:

'Gmail Labs is a test and evaluation site for features that aren't quite ready for use. They may change, break down or disappear at any time.

If there is a broken feature on Labs and you have problems downloading the mailbox, there is an escape for you to use http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 . '

After a trial of using additional features for Gmail, I managed to close the list of the most useful add-ons. Here are 10 of the most interesting add-ons on Gmail Labs:

1. Send and Archive button

This add-on is great in case you have to send mail back and forth in an exchange. Normally, even if you already have the original message in the folder and labeled, the replies still show up in the inbox. Instead of clicking the Send button when you send a serial reply, click the Send and Archive button. The group of related messages will be removed from the inbox and displayed in the folder labeled.

2. Mark as Read button

By default, Gmail does not have a Mark as Read button available to help you choose to mark the read messages. This add-on will add that button right outside, making you feel more comfortable.

3. Hide the display of the number of unread messages

If your inbox always has a lot of unread messages, but you don't want to look at the number that reminds you of that mail, this is what you need. This add-on has an interesting feature that hides the display of the number of unread messages in your inbox.

4. Canned Responses

If you are tired of having to rewrite the same reply when you regularly receive a message asking about the same problem, this add-on will help you. Now you just need to compose the message once, save it with Canned Responses and then just open and send.
In case you go on vacation and can't regularly reply to the letter, there is still a useful solution for you. Gmail allows you to create filters based on a combination of keywords, senders, or email addresses. After activating Canned Responses, you can set the Gmail filter to choose a response content that you plan to send and send it to you.

5. Mail Goggles

If even when you are in a state of alertness, your calculation skills are still not very good, please ignore this add-on. Here is how Mail Goggles works: When you try to send mail during your predetermined time, for example, from 10pm to 4am, you will be asked to solve 3 simple operations. If you give the wrong result, the letter will not be sent but saved in the Drafts folder.

When you see basic additions and subtractions that suddenly become as difficult as quantum physics, that means you need to go to sleep a bit. Although not very useful, this is still an interesting add-on.

6. Send SMS in Chat

Sending SMS is a great addition to the chat feature in your Gmail navigation bar. When you hover over the name of the person you want to send the message to, a pop-up dialog box appears. In the 'More' drop-down menu is the option to allow sending SMS. If the person is logged into Gtalk, you will have a chat option. This helps the previous conversation be kept in the same window.

7. Navbar Drag and Drop

This add-on allows you to arrange utility features in the left menu bar in the order you want using Drag and Drop.

8. Undo Send

How many times have you pressed the send button and then soon wished that the message was not sent for some reason, such as forgetting to attach a document file? This add-on gives you the opportunity to record the message within about 10 seconds after pressing the Send button.

9. Offline

If you enable this add-on, Gmail will place an optional shortcut icon on your desktop. Every time you open Gmail when you are connected to the Internet, Offline will sync emails with your computer. You will have access to essential features such as mailing, reading mail, searching, moving mail, and so on. Of course, you cannot send or receive new mail without an Internet connection. Once you have reconnected, all your changes will be synced and the messages you have sent will be sent.

10. Import / Export filter

It's great to be able to export filters that you've spent a lot of effort to create. Imagine having to reestablish everything from the beginning, each and every thing, indeed a torture. I have about 40 filters, so if something goes wrong, this add-on will save me a lot of time. After you export the XML file, you can attach the file to the message and send it to yourself for safe storage.
