Top 10 changes and new features on iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2
After a few weeks of testing, Apple has officially released iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 to all users. This is a relatively important update, bringing a number of new features and improvements.
In this update, Apple has fixed most of the errors that users have encountered on iOS 14 versions since its launch. Here are the Top 10 changes that iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 bring to all compatible iPhones:
1. Shazam integration
Apple officially acquired Shazam at the end of 2018, and with iOS 14.2, it has integrated the application into its operating system. Users can now add the Shazam widget to the Control Center, making it convenient and quick to find songs.

2. People Detection
The People Detection feature built into the Magnifier app is a tool that uses the device's camera to assist anyone with vision problems.

When your device is not playing music, the Music utility in Control Center will recommend songs for playback in a new, intuitive, modern interface.
4. Fine-tuned Clock app icon
In this update, Apple has also tweaked the Clock app icon. The strap image on the new logo is sleeker and resembles the Solo Loop strap shown at the Time Flies event.

7. Optimized battery charging for AirPods
iOS 14.2 also brings optimized charging for AirPods and AirPods Pro . This feature is designed to reduce aging as well as prolong the battery life of the AirPods.
That means iOS 14.2 will track your daily AirPods charging habits, provide predictions about charging times, and wait until you're almost unplugged to fully charge your battery capacity.
8. Headphone Safety
Apple has renamed the Reduce Loud Sounds feature to Headphone Safety. With this feature, the device will notify the headphone sound level to alert you when hearing levels are reached.

Apple is finally letting Apple TV 4K owners use the HomePod as the default audio output. Users will have options like stereo, surround sound, and Dolby Atmos sound in this setup.
