According to The Information, Apple seems to plan to use language models to make Siri in iOS 18 smarter, do more things.

For example, Siri will be able to continuously take 5 photos, turn them into gifs and send it to friends. Currently, converting images to GIF format can be done using the Shortcuts app but requires users to do it manually.

‌Siri‌ will have similar functionality to the Shortcuts app. The Shortcuts app has become an important part of the iPhone's operating system and can perform a number of high-demand automation tasks from removing photo backgrounds to creating to-do lists.
