Although there is no official information from Microsoft, the first images of Skype for Windows 8 software began to appear yesterday. The interface shows the presentation style title, status bar . all towards the maximum support by touch quite clearly. According to Neonwin, although the software is still labeled "App Preview", it runs smoothly and stably. It is expected that this will be a good support version for tablets running Windows 8 and RT next time.

The software is said to continue to evolve with the addition of features and interfaces that support both ordinary mouse users instead of just the current touch.

Earlier, Microsoft has included a trial version of Release Preview and Consumer Preview, with a lot of trial software labeled "App Preview " but Skype was recorded as an internal test only.

Microsoft recently had to change the Metro interface name to Modern for reasons that were not announced by the company but almost certainly because of copyright disputes.
