IE 11 for Windows 7 has a new version
Nearly two months after the release of the Developer Preview, Microsoft today has just released a new version of IE 11 for Windows 7 users, Release Preview.
This preview has added some new tools for developers, WebGL support, improved JavaScript performance. Microsoft said it has improved the JavaScript performance on this version by 10% compared to IE 10 on Windows 7. The basic browser engine is also optimized for both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 . As expected, the full version of IE 11 for Windows 7 will be released later this year.
In this trial, Microsoft did not make too many changes compared to the Developer version and showed that IE 11 on Windows 7 has fewer features than on Windows 8.1; such as not allowing to synchronize tags between devices.
And it is likely that Microsoft will not bring this feature to IE 11 for Windows 7 later this year."We use Microsoft accounts to synchronize cards between devices and other settings, but Windows 7 does not support Microsoft accounts," explained Microsoft.
