Samsung's QLED 2018 4K TV hides into the wall and controls smart home
Of course they are also integrated with Bixby.
Samsung has unveiled its 4K 4K QLED 2018 product line at the event in New York City. Still the leading TV manufacturer in the world and although this year has improved slightly in picture quality - mostly in the dark part - Samsung still focuses primarily on artificial intelligence and smart home control. .
New QLED TVs will integrate Bixby assistants and voice support. The TV will also serve as the center for Samsung's SmartThings smart platform, which helps control SmartThings devices on the screen.
QLED 2018 product line includes Q9, Q8, A7 and A6 (in descending order of price and image quality). Samsung has not yet given up on curved screen TVs when each product line is available with both a flat screen and a curved screen.
Details of the price have not been disclosed but according to the plan, in the next few weeks they will start selling.
The Q7 series has metal legs that look pretty
Both Q9 and Q8 have local darkening technology with a background LED (Full-array Local Dimming). Q9 has more areas but Samsung doesn't say how much. FALD is a feature available on many high-end segment TVs but this is actually the first time available on Samsung's QLED TV. The result is a darker area and greater contrast.
Q9 also has the best HDR that Samsung calls Q HDR EliveMax / Every new QLED TV set supports HDR10 +.
All of them have Ambient Mode using their phones to take pictures of the environment behind, then create the same image on the TV screen. Previously available on Samsung's TV Frame but now expanded to include QLED. Ambient Mode also displays temperature, news, personal photos and other information.
It basically turns the QLED TV into a smart screen when not in use. You not only look at the transparent screen but also other effects.
TV also plays a central role in connecting SmartThings ecosystem devices such as cameras, lights, thermostats. Everything is also simplified with a SmartThings application on the phone.
