Perform text entry in Word
The following article provides detailed instructions for you to enter text in Word.
To enter text you do the following:
1. Perform text alignment.
Step 1: In card Page Layout -> under Page Setup click on the arrow below:
Step 2: The Page Setup dialog box usually appears, selecting the alignment distance as shown in the figure:
- Top: top margin.
- Bottom: bottom margin
- Right: right margin
- Left: the left margin
- Portrait: Text page in portrait orientation.
- Landscape: Page text in landscape orientation.
Step 3: Click to select the Paper tab to select the paper size, in the Page Size section select A4 -> click OK.
- Where the unit of alignment is not in cm but in inch:
- Should be converted to cm units for convenience during working:
Step 1: Click on File -> Option:
Step 2: The Word Option dialog box appears, select the Advanced section, scroll down to DisPlay -> in the Show Measurement in units section, click Centimeters -> OK:
2. Select Font and type.
- After the alignment is complete for the text page, make the font format and font size. Currently the frequently used font is Time New Roman corresponding to Unicode, and the font size is 13. Click the Home tab -> select the font and font size in Font section :
- Or you can click on the arrow below the Font section -> Font dialog box appears font selection in Font section, font size in Size section and font style in Font Style section -> OK:
- In case you have typed in a wrong font, you should check the font and correspond to the encoding in Unicode :
3. Conducting drafting of documents.
- After choosing the font and setting the format of the text page you proceed to enter the content for the text page. After you have finished entering the content you make edits to the requirements of the text and should format the spacing between lines in the text: Select the entire text by pressing Ctrl + A -> key into Home - > click the arrow in the Paragraph section :
- Paragraph dialog box appears selecting the distance in the Line Spacing section in which At is the usual distance to 1.5 line spacing:
