Format paragraphs in Word
The following article provides detailed instructions for you to format text in Word.
To format the paragraph follow these steps:
Step 1: Highlight the text you need to format -> Go to the Home tab -> Paragraph -> click on the arrow:
Step 2: The Paragrap dialog box appears:
- General section:
+ Alignment: Align text: Left, Right .
+ Outline level: the level of the paragraph, for example, select Body Text to identify the paragraph as the body of the article, or other options such as headings.
- Section Indentation.
+ Left, Right: Define paragraph distance to left and right margins
+ Special: Specify the indentation of a paragraph, for example choose First line as the indentation in the first line of a paragraph.
+ By: Indent distance example here choose 0.5 point.
- Section Spacing: Format the distance between lines.
+ Before: The space between the first line of a paragraph and the continuous paragraph.
+ After: The space between the last line of the paragraph and the paragraph immediately below.
+ Line Spacing: The distance between lines in the same paragraph:
Line Spacing = Single : is the line spacing unit.
Line Spacing = 1.5 Line : 1.5 times the unit line.
Line Spacing = Multiple : distance n times the unit line with n is the value in item At.
+ At: The numerical value indicating the distance between lines in the same paragraph.
- Finally, click OK to complete the process of formatting the text.
