Microsoft Edge browser has the ability to bring you back to where you were reading a PDF file

Reading FDF files using a browser like Microsoft Edge has both advantages and disadvantages. One of the annoying downsides to using Edge is that you can't go back to where you left off on the PDF file.

To overcome this, Microsoft is preparing to add to the Edge browser a feature that helps you get back to the right place where you are reading. This feature is currently being tested on Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev versions.

With this feature, you can comfortably close the unfinished PDF file when you have work or when it's time to take a break. The next time you open it, Microsoft Edge will take you to the exact location you were reading before.

Currently, this feature is not enabled by default on Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev versions. To activate, you need to go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > PDF documents . Then, you turn the switch in the PDF view settings option to on.

Although this is a useful feature, Microsoft still needs to test it before rolling it out. Moreover, not all users will have this feature when installing Microsoft Edge Canary or Dev version.

Microsoft is also testing another attractive feature on Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev versions. That is the ability to play video as a Picture in Picture (PiP) window.

When playing a video on Microsoft Edge Canary or Dev you will see the PiP button appear when hovering over the video. Clicking this button allows you to view the video as a PiP window. The new PiP button is enabled by default so you don't need to install anything.

If the test is successful, these exciting new features will be rolled out by Microsoft in the next Microsoft Edge updates.
