Rare red dot in Q2 Monochrome version
The main character fits neatly in a separate box.
And here is the Monochrom Q2 version
It can be seen that the appearance and design of this Monochrom version is completely identical to the standard Q2 version. Another point to recognize is that Q2 Monochrom does not have a red Leica logo dot on the front as a reference to no color capture, only serves "black and white".
The leather texture on the Monochrom version is also different from the standard version
Other details are similar to Q2, on top of the camera is the shutter speed dial, shutter button.
There is a Monochrome text for users to recognize.
The back is a 3.68-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder, 3-inch LCD touch screen.
Key system functions basic, mainly users will use right on the touch screen.
The bottom edge is where the memory card slot and battery reside.
Q2 Monochrom will only have a single black color, Leica's already simple design is even more minimalistic.
Not only the design, the IP52 standard water / dust resistance, but the processing algorithm, viewfinder, autofocus system, software . are also fully inherited from the standard Q2.
The difference is that Q2 Monochrome only captures black and white.
Using a 47MP sensor combined with black and white only (omitting a color filter) helps Q2 Monochrom capture more light for a more detailed image, a wider dynamic range.
The camera still comes with a 28mm f / 1.7 lens that integrates macro photography with the closest focusing range of 17cm.
Leica claims the camera can shoot up to 13 stops, 2 more stops than the regular version, and the ISO range extends from 100 to 100,000.
This is the highest resolution Monochrome camera available today.
