Step 1 : Open the PDF file to edit. You can choose 1 of 2 ways:
Method 1: Right-click the PDF file you want to edit and select Open with . If Microsoft Word is used as the default option, click it. However, if you don't see any options, select Microsoft Word manually in the installation directory.
Method 2: To open the PDF file to be edited, follow these steps:
1. Select the File tab.
2. The Backstage view will appear. Click Open .
3. Locate and open the PDF file you want to edit.
4. A dialog box will appear confirming whether you want to convert a PDF file into a Word document. Click OK .
5. If the PDF file has content that Word cannot convert, another dialog box may appear. Click OK .
6. The PDF file will appear in the Word window as an editable document. Now you can make any changes you want.
Note: Converting a PDF file into a Word document may cause some graphics and content to be changed or disappear completely.
Step 2 : After the PDF file is opened in Word 2013, users can start editing immediately. If you have downloaded the PDF file from the Internet, you may need to enable manual file editing options for security-related reasons. The program allows to change images, edit text, replace hypertext links (hyper links) and text colors. We can basically edit everything within Word 2013's scope.
Step 3 : After editing the document, press Ctrl + S to save the file. You can use the mouse and access settings in the Word File menu.

Which file type should you choose?

Encrypt and split PDF files
