How to transfer photos and videos from your phone to a computer

Instructions on how to use ScanTransfer

Step 1:

First you need to connect the WiFi between your phone and computer, then click on the link below to download ScanTransfer software.

There will be 2 downloads of the software including the installation and the Protable version without installation. Software installed on Windows 7 and above. iPhone or iPad using iOS 11 and above and Android using Chrome version 59 and above.

Step 2:

Unzip the downloaded file to the computer and then start the software.

You wait for ScanTransfer to finish loading data and check the version.

Step 3:

Users will then see the interface containing the QR code to connect computers and phones to each other. Also at this interface, users can optionally compress images in JPG format or use the original image in Photo Transfer Setting in the Options section.

Next, if you want to change the location to save the file when transferring from phone to computer, click on the 3 dots icon at Save the transferred Files to .

Step 4:

On the phone proceed to scan QR codes on ScanTransfer computer. To be able to scan QR codes on iPhone you need to install iOS 11 and above. When scanning a QR code with the camera, you will see a pop-up message at the top of the screen. Click and will be transferred to ScanTransfer's file transfer interface on Safari.

In the file transfer interface you will see the IP address corresponding to the ScanTransfer address on the computer. This IP address will automatically change when you turn off ScanTransfer and restart.

With Android device you can use applications that scan QR codes, or use the QR code scanning feature available on Facebook and Twitter applications.

Step 5:

At this interface, click Select Files to select the file on the mobile device you want to copy to your computer. This will display 3 options for finding files you want to transfer from your phone to your computer. Each time the user will be allowed to transfer up to 10 files. You wait for the process to upload the file to the data transfer interface.

Note , if an error message is displayed during the download of the file transfer interface or download of data, please turn on ScanTransfer and then scan the QR code again from the beginning.

Step 6:

When downloading the file is completed, it will be completed. Click Start a New transfer to proceed to transfer photos from the phone to the computer. File transfer speed will depend on the size and number of files. If you want to stop switching, press the Stop button.

Step 7:

Finally, open the file storage folder and transfer it to the computer set up on ScanTransfer to get the photos you need.
